ASSOCIATE BOAT BROKER


Job Title: Associate Boat Broker

Department: Marina/Yacht Sales

Reports To: Boat Broker/Marina Manager

FLSA Status: Full Time Non-Exempt

Location: Wildwood, NJ

Summary: McKee Yacht Sales is seeking a talented and energetic individual to fill the Associate Boat Broker role in Wildwood, NJ.

McKee Yacht Sales is a Local Yacht Brokerage firm that sells both new and used boats. We are in a growth mode and expanding our reach across New Jersey. We have solidified our position in the industry by promoting a Boating lifestyle to our buyers and sellers through our excellent client care. Our business owners are boaters themselves who are interested in hiring individuals looking to be part of a team and are passionate about boating.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Show boats at on-site, off-site displays and boat shows, and demonstrate boats on the water.
  • Answer incoming calls promptly and help the customer wherever they are in the sales process.
  • Work with the Service department to ensure customer's expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Search for new customers through various sources, including cold calls and events.
  • Operate boats safely for demo and delivery, making sure you have the required safety equipment.
  • Maintain current product knowledge by using available resources, i.e., product brochures,

Internet and product information training meetings.

  • Maintain awareness of advertised items, existing pricing structures, and promotions
  • Assist with transportation/delivery of sales
  • Consult with potential customers to find the best products for their needs
  • Diligently follow up with prospective and existing customers and maintain info database
  • Become a product expert on all brands we sell, stay current on product knowledge and competition
  • Ensure social media presence is maintained and all listings are advertised on various websites
  • Create listing agreements with accurate vessel info and assist with comps to set price and take/upload pictures
  • Manage sales process once under agreement including but not limited to scheduling surveys, haul-outs, sea trials, and maintenance items
  • Attend sales meetings and assist in preparing monthly sales reports
  • Communicate with clients post-sale including electronic newsletters etc.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Education and/or Experience:

  • Knowledge about boating with excellent boat handling skills is required
  • A minimum of 1-year sales experience, boat sales experience preferred.

Computer Skills:

  • General computer, software, and mobile phone proficiency required
  • Basic Understanding of Social Media posting and uploading content in online databases
